Some days you’re the Steamroller

Other days you’re the pavement. Trust me this is not a decision that you want to put off till the end of the day. Just decide at the start of your day that you’re the steamroller and the rest of your day will go much better. images

Ps- Not every blog post will be a sales pitch for mortgages, cause I am not that kind of guy. I want to entertain and inform and occasional provide mortgage information.

Remember to breathe

You ever have one of those days where one thing happens then another, and all of a sudden it’s 4 o’clock. Well today was one of those days. Between another freak snow storm to start the day, to driving the kids to school, to power outages,  to broken wi-fi routers  and conference calls it’s now 4pm.

But we all have days like this so we have to remember to just slow down and breathe. We might think that we get more done if we rush but actually they just end up getting done half assed.

Here’s to making tomorrow better and more memorable. Going to hug my kids and forget about it.

Cheers,

Pat

Dear Dad Letter

I saw this on a website today and could not resist putting it here.

A father passing by his son’s bedroom, was astonished to see the bed
was nicely made, and that everything was picked up and tidy.
Then, he saw an envelope, propped up prominently on the pillow. It was addressed,

‘Dad.’

With the worst premonition, he opened the envelope and read the
letter, with trembling hands.

Dear Dad,

It is with great regret and sorrow that I’m writing to you. I had to
elope with my new girlfriend, because I wanted to avoid a scene with
Mum and you.

I’ve been finding real passion with Stacy, and she is so nice, but I
knew you would not approve of her, because of all her piercings’,
tattoos, her tight Motorcycle clothes, and because she is so much
older than I am.

But it’s not only the passion, Dad. She’s pregnant.
Stacy said that we will be very happy. She owns a trailer in the woods, and has a stack of firewood for the whole winter. We share a dream of having many more children.

Stacy has opened my eyes to the fact that marijuana doesn’t, really
hurt anyone. We’ll be growing it for ourselves, and trading it with
the other people in the commune, for all the cocaine and
ecstasy we want.

In the meantime, we’ll pray that science will find a cure for AIDS, so
Stacy can get better. She sure deserves it!

Don’t worry Dad, I’m 15, and I know how to take care of myself.
Someday, I’m sure we’ll be back to visit, so you can get to know
your many grandchildren.

Love, your son, Joshua.

P.S. Dad, none of the above is true. I’m over at Jason’s house.
I just wanted to remind you that there are worse things in
life than the School report that’s on the kitchen table.

My Favorite Things

These are a few of my favorite things in no particular order.

My wife and I had a 2001 Subaru Forester Ltd, by the time we were forced to trade it in, it had over 175K KM, the only money we had to spend on it were for tires, brakes and oil. You see we had to move to a vechile that could handle 3 children’s car seats. It was fine for our twin girls but when our son arrived we could not fit 3 car seats in the back seat so we had to move to a mini van.

So if you want a nice reliable car, one that also comes with the safety and beauty of all wheel drive, then surf on over to www.subaru.ca and check one out.

People always say the grass is greener on the other side of the fence. I spent many years admiring it from the wrong side of the fence. That all changed when I got my first Mac. Gone are the days of spyware, blue screen’s of death and constant tinkering just to get the machine to do what is was supposed to do. My 1st true experience was with my Mom’s 2nd generation imac, from there I got my mother in law also into an imac then I finely got a G3 ibook which I used very productively for 6 years and now am fortunate to be using a new Macbook.

It is true what they say, once you go Mac, you never go back. So do yourself a favor and check one out at www.apple.ca and once you get one buy some shares too.

Fitness has been a major part of my life for as long as I can remember. Some people work out to lose weight, others to gain muscle, I do it because I love it. I met my wife in the gym while I was working as a personal trainer some 15 years ago. I have learned a lot along the way and I want to share some of those things. I discovered Bill Phillips and his “Body for Life” program some 11 years ago, before it was even called “Body for life”. It is an incredible program and I have been doing variations of it ever since.

Start you own transformation today, it could be one of the best decisions that you ever make. Surf on over to www.bodyforlife.com for more details and also for some inspiration.

To continue on the health theme, there are a few things that have helped with the progress along the way. One of them was recently discovering the BSN line of workout supplements. I am only saying this in regards to my own personal results, and your results may vary. I use their N.O Xplode product 1/2 hour before training for maximum focus and improved performance, immediately after the workout with Cell Mass for maximum recovery and also last thing at night, also 1/2 hour after the work out with a protein shake and 1/2 hour before bed. I use GNC’s Whey ISO Burst cause it taste’s good.

You can find more info about their products at www.bsnonline.net. They make great quality products and the best way to truly find out to try them for your self.

Lastly on the heath theme. I was fortunate to be introduced to a heath product called Vemma a few years ago. I have been using their parent company’s health products for over 10 years now. It is a liquid vitamin and mineral health supplement that I take every day. I am asthmatic and have been since I was quite young, I find that this helps to keep my immune system strong. Your results may vary.

Just so you know this product is distributed via a network marketing system. I have been a distributor with this company and it’s parent company for over 10 years. I do it because I love the product. There are many with in the company who make a very handsome living doing it as a business. In fact my direct up line does extremely well. Go ahead and check out my Vemma site at www.myvemma.com/sawler and let me know what you think. Once you try the product you will be glad that you did.

I started my career as a mortgage broker in December of 2002. Previously I had worked for 7 years at the local power utility. They decided as they were a monopoly that they not longer required a sales department. I was made redundant at 33. Anyway, my previous sales experience made me ill equipped to be a hard nosed, bull in the china shop sales guy. I needed something different, something more in line with my thinking and my personality. As I was very comfortable on the phone, I “Googled” cold calling and came upon a very intriguing twist to the conventional sales mentality. I landed upon a program called “Unlock The Game” by Ari Galper. All I can say is the light went on, and I got it. I was not about pitching your product, elevator speeches or other sales gimmick’s, it was about uncovering the truth.

Well the truth really will set you free. His mindset has been a world of difference for me, now everything makes sense. I invite you to take a close look at his program. You may say that you’re not in sales, well I say this, if you are married you made a sale to meet your spouse, if you are employed then you sold yourself to get your job. You get the point, surf on over to his web site at www.UnlockTheGame.com and check it out for your self, you will be glad that you did.

Lastly but certainly not least. I met a very important person a few months ago. I was looking for someone to help me with my web presence. I wanted a totally revamped web site, professional, consumer focused and effective. It is true what they say about the power of attraction, that you get what you think about. I knew exactly what I wanted and how I wanted it done. I got all that and more thanks to my friend Kyle Tully. He is the man that makes my idea’s look brilliant on the web. Without him, none of this would have been possible. I am honored to call him a friend and am thankful that we are on the same wavelength.

It would be just plan wrong to hog Kyle all to my self. You should hire him too. Your business and your bank account will be glad that you did. You can check out his web site at www.KyleTully.com to find some more out about him.

That’s it for now. I will add more as they come along. Check this page often for frequent updates. Thanks for your time.

Cheers,
Pat
