Yes I know I am a mortgage broker but that is not all I do, even though it does consume a lot of my time lately. One of my passions is fitness. With the past year being very difficult to get a consistent routine going at a gym, I started doing all my workouts in my “unheated garage”. After going through a cold Canadian winter, the key to a good workout in a cold garage is a long warmup!
So while I have a spin bike, speed rope, dumbbells, medicine ball, an olympic bar and an assortment of bumper plates, my favourite thing recently is my kettlebell. It just can’t be beat for the variety of movements that can be done with it and get a total body workout.
Take your pick from Turkish get-ups, Russian or American kettlebell swings, goblet squats, snatches, lunges or clean & jerks. You just can’t go wrong with a good kettlebell. However my recent favourite is the 10,000 kettlebell swing challenge. I have not finished it yet but it is certainly a great workout.
