Change Please!

Every once in a while you meet one of those people who needs help but can not seem to get out of their own way. I met one of those people yesterday. After analysing their current situation we discovered that what they were currently doing was not getting them the results that they wanted. Which is actually a simple and painless process. After discussing several options we recommended one that would help them meet their needs and put them on track to achieving the goals that they told me about. Done deal one would think, however that was not the case. I learned a long time ago that you can not force square pegs into round holes, so no amount of convincing was going to win them over.  However detrimental as it may seem, they were just happy with the status quo.

So what can I do? I know convincing them will not work, and I do not like to play that game anyway. I have uncovered the truth to their current situation and presented a suitable solution to solve it’s problem. I have been doing this long enough to know that there are just some people that you can not help regardless what you try to do.

Why, it’s because some people are afraid of change! What they don’t realize is that status quo is like sitting on the railway track and change is the locomotive. If you don’t move you are going to be run over. It’s coming whether you want it or not. Change is the one constant to life. Those who adapt quickly survive and thrive, the others just get left behind. What I want you to take from this is to be open minded and flexible in your approach to your goals, as there is more than one way to achieve your objectives. Specially if the one that you are currently doing is not getting your the results that you wanted in the first place.

As always, I look forward to hearing from you.

Cheers,

Pat

In Therapy?

Or on life support? What exactly is the state of your finances? Should we break out the paddles now? This came to mind as I am still suffering from my latest crossfit workout from earlier today. Maybe some therapy would be good right about now.

Anyway back to the topic at hand. Like your physical health, are your finances healthy? Or do they need therapy? One of my favorite quotes from Tony Robbins is this “In your moments of decision you destiny is shaped”. The reason why I put this here is I need to know if you are happy with the way things are or are you ready to make a decision and change your life for the better? In the end it is really up to you and no one else, we are all born with the power to decide our own fate. If you knew you could not fail, wouldn’t you want more? The truth is you can never fail unless you give up, and by saying this I mean settling for what you have right now.

Once you have made the decision, the turnaround can be drastic and immediate or slow and gradual. It’s really all up to you. It is one of those things where you get out of it exactly what you put into it. Success leaves clues, you don’t have to do it on your own. Seek our people who have done it before, read their stores, talk to advisors, make a plan then put it to work. If there is anything that I can possibly help with please feel free to let me know. I look forward to hearing from you.

Cheers,

Pat

Put a few notches in the win column!

We have all had those times where we think that nothing is going our way. I was having one of those days and one of my good friends sent me this:

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you’re trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest, if you must, but don’t you quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about,
When he might have won had he stuck it out;
Don’t give up though the pace seems slow–
You may succeed with another blow.

Often the goal is nearer than,
It seems to a faint and faltering man,
Often the struggler has given up,
When he might have captured the victor’s cup,
And he learned too late when the night slipped down,
How close he was to the golden crown.

Success is failure turned inside out–
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems so far,
So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit–
It’s when things seem worst that you must not quit.

So to summarize that, persist until you succeed. If your goal is to get in better shape, then decide to do something about it by starting a health & fitness program, If you want to improve your relationship(s), then work on improving “you” and if you want to improve your finances, then pick up the phone and contact my office and we would love to see how we could improve your situation.

Cheers,

Pat

Bite Me!

Yea you heard that right, bite me. That is what you would like to say to your creditors. I imagine if you won the lottery you would say that to most people then move off to some exotic tropical island. However since this is probably not the case, you are most likely resigned to just mumble it under your breath.

With proper planning that day may come sooner rather than later. There is no better time than the present to get a handle on your finances. Sit down and make a list of all your income and outgoing expenses. Do you have anything left at the end of the month, or is it all going to service debt and pay your bills. How would you like to lower your overall cost of borrowing and possibly lower your debt service payments. All while showing you how to pay off your debt quicker and get you on a plan to build financial freedom.

If this appeals to you, please feel free to contact me so we can see how to improve your current situation. If not, keep buying lotto tickets and hope that tomorrow may be your day to tell someone to “Bite Me”.

Cheers,

Pat

Free Will!

Or settle for what life gives you. You decide. Grab life by the horns or sit in the bleachers, you have heard it all before. Are you working your plan, or working some else’s? It is either one or the other, there is no in between.

Chances are if you are reading this right now, you do not live in a communist country. So weather you believe it or not, you free will is your greatest power. If something is not going the way you want, then get off your butt and do something about it. Looking for something or someone to blame is not the answer. If you need more sales then go prospecting, want to get in shape then make the time to workout and eat better or if you want to be in a better financial position then do something about it now.

Start first by making the decision that you will go for it and not settle for what life gives you.  Focus on where you want to go, then take immediate and massive action, notice what is working or not and be persistent. Chances are that whatever you want has been done before, study who has done it before. Success leaves clues, you do not have to reinvent the wheel. Seek out experts to help you, get support from your loved ones or start a master mind group.

If improving your financial position is at the top of your list, give my office a call and I would be honored to help.

Cheers,

Pat

Thinking of throwing in the towel?

With all that has been happening in the financial markets these past few weeks, I would not blame you if that is what you have been thinking. However don’t do it, and here is why.

1) Boom always follows the bust. As corny as it sounds, hard times never last, but good people do. My favorite investor Warren Buffet has a saying that rings true ” Be greedy when others are fearful and fearful when other are greedy”. There is no better time than now to prepare for your best financial future.

2) Have a plan. Your life may not be perfect right now, but you should know where you are going. You would not get in your car to go on a vacation with out a destination in mind. However many people go through life with out any clear objective. Begin with your end in mind, so get off your rear end and develop a plan and see your objective.

3) Clean your house. By that I mean your financial house. If you are to get out of this financial crisis smelling like roses, then you need to get your finances in order. Trim the fat and cut out any unnecessary expenses. Systematically eliminate all of your debt and start building true wealth.

I would be honored to help you develop your plan to eliminate your debts. Please feel free to contact me at my office so we can get you on the road to true financial freedom.

Cheers,

Pat
