It’s for a good cause

So every year around this time I reach out to friends, family, past clients and everyone in between to help support me for my annual ride for Cancer. As you may know both myself and my wife lost our Mom’s to Cancer. I would love to have your support and all donations made today (June 23rd) are being matched dollar for dollar. Click here to support me for this very worthy cause.

Thanks for all your help. Your donations make the most advanced treatments possible for those battling cancer.

Sincerely,

Patrick

Early Bird

The trouble with being a very early bird today is that 10am felt like 4pm. I was up just just before 4am with no alarm so I could bike along the trail to the Bike & Bean for a cancer fundraiser. You see I lost my mom to cancer in 2005 and my wife lost her mom in 2008. So it’s for a very important cause.

The money we are raising is going to help cancer patients who are receiving treatment at the QEII. This is my annual ride for cancer season whereby friends and I train, fund raise and then come the event in October we ride anywhere between 50-150K.

The discomfort of getting up early and the frequent training sessions truly pales in comparisons to what the cancer patients go through just to survive. So please take a few minutes and donate to this worthy cause. The link to my fundraising page is right here.

Thanks,

Pat

Blood, sweat & tears

Blood, sweat and tears were given today at my 2nd ride for cancer. However this pales in comparison to what those who are suffering from cancer go through on a regular basis.

This will be my last appeal for support this year, so if you are able to donate that would be wonderful. Although the event may be done the race to find a cure is far from over.

Here is the link and thank you for your support.

Sincerely,

Patrick

Would love your support

Next Saturday I am biking 100K in support of the ride for Cancer fundraiser. This is my second year in doing this event and it is of particular importance to me. You see I lost my Mom to breast cancer in 2005 and my wife lost her Mom to lung cancer in 2008.

The funds that we are raising are helping support those who are fighting cancer now. This will help purchase a state of the art genetic sequencer for the QEII hospital here in Halifax. So please take a few minutes and a few dollars and donate to this worthy cause.

Today I am thankful for another training ride with my friend Marissa as we get ready for the big event next week, perfect fall weather for a few hours of biking and a happy puppy who greeted me when I arrived home.

Oh before I forget here is the link so you can donate to my ride for cancer. I am riding for my Mom and all those who are fighting cancer.

Thanks,

Patrick

Ride for Cancer

Every year around this time I have been doing a cancer fundraiser. This year like last year I am doing the “Ride for Cancer” with my friends from Crossfit Basinview. Our team is calls Cure Cyclers as the actual fundraising event is a bike ride on Saturday Oct 2nd. I will be doing a 100K trail ride like last year. So if you see us out riding on the weekend, we are just training for the big event.

Now I am doing this for a number of reasons. I love biking and it is for a great cause, but the main reason is that I lost my Mom to breast cancer in 2005 and my wife lost her mom to lung cancer in 2008. There are so people I know who have been effected. My friend Shane just lost his mom to cancer and my first cousin Joni is fighting it now. If the money we raise could just help one person I will know that it will have been worth it.

So if you are reading this today June 24, please donate today to support this worth while cause as all donations that are made today will be matched and ever dollar raised is vitally important. Please click on my link to help sponsor me. Mom I am riding for you.

Thanks,

Patrick
