The power of routines
Whether you call them routines, habits or schedule they are all the same. What you do consistently day in and day out has power. These actions taken every day have the power to move you quickly toward you goals. Those who are successful have morning routines. I have been getting up the same time for so long I don’t really need an alarm as I am awake anyway.
I am of the frame of mind that great routines are freeing rather than constraining you. If you meditate every day first thing in the morning then the chances are that you get out of bed with purpose knowing what you will be doing. The same can be said for your daily exercise routine and your daily work routines. Making the important things consistent and automatic make them that much easier to accomplish.
You want to run 5K, then make running part of your routine. Want to exponentially improve your sales, then make prospecting and follow up part of your daily routine. If it is important enough to you, then you will be able to find the time to fit it into your routine.
Today I am thankful for my 60 min power zone rides on Peloton on Saturday mornings, having one of my kids who also loves running and my dog who loves going out for his walks as much as I do.
